I was set on getting a B7510, but I was speaking to a dealer and he recommended geting an L series tractor. He said they are bigger tractors and true category 1.

I was under the impression the B7510 was a cat 1 tractor. Also looking at the spec I don't see that much difference between the B7510 and the L2800.

So can I get some feedback regarding the B VS L tractors?

My use is about a 3 acre garden. Tools used on tractor are going to be box blade, rototiller, bed shaper, and a brush hog.
Time is not an issue, so if it take an extra day that is ok.
Hauling trailer is a tandem axel 7000lb trailer.
Hope this helps, thanks chuck

The L is a bigger frame and weighs something like a 1000 lbs more. The L2800 has more HP than the B7510 (29 vs 21, I think). But the L does not have a mid-PTO, even as an option. A 7000lb tandem could haul either one.

I had exactly the same experience--going in to look at the B7510, ended up liking the L2800/L3400. It seemed like a much heavier duty tractor to me. With 3 acres, I think the B7510 would be big enough, though.

I can only address the B7510 since that is what I bought but it seems about right for the 3 acres I am working on.

There have been a few times when I thought it would be nice to have a bigger tractor but since this is really a hobby for me if I got it all done real fast I would have to find a new (and hopefully not as expensive) hobby.

Bigger tractors will get it done faster but you sacrifice a little manuverability. I keep telling my wife I want a tractor with a cab and A/C but the truth is I couldn't even get a tractor/cab into many of the places I need to get to. Naturally I get excited when I drive by the Kubota dealer and see those big rascals with cab and A/C but in my case that would be like using an 18 wheeler to go to the store for a loaf of bread.
