Considering a LS4047

/ Considering a LS4047 #21
Spent the first weekend doing a lot of bush hogging, tractor worked as advertised. Had to use the 4 wheel drive a couple of times going up some hills but that is to be expected. Used the bucket to move some cut logs from some pine trees we dropped, that also worked well. Next weekend will be more of the same.

FYI - anyone know how often I need to lubricate the bush hog? I bought a brand new Woods 6 foot but I left the paperwork at my property (it's a 90 minute drive) and I want to be prepared for next weekend.

The internet is your friend here:

They call for lubrication of the grease fittings every 8 hours as well as lubricating the two halves of the shaft. Check fluid in the gearbox periodically.

Glad to hear it's working out!

I probably should be more methodical about it, but I give the u-joints a shot of grease on my rotary cutter when I get the grease gun out for something else, check the gearbox every couple of uses, and never even think about lubing the shaft....if it needs grease when I hook it up to the PTO, or take it off, it's obvious.
