I also plow with my tractor and use the diff lock often here in NH. It's something I personally can't be without.

I agree but to my point with 4x4 it's rarely needed. This is also apparent with used 4x4 tractors as the diff lock is never used and often seized up due to no use.

Same here. Mine doesn't slip much before the engine is pulled down. Most of my work has been in some extra weight in the bucked with a box blade on the rear.
