Considering a new scut

How about keep the JD riding mower and get a new SCUT with MMM, that way you and your wife could tag team mowing the yard? All the brands are pretty good these days.

The main concern is Rural King going the way of Cabelas, and dumping their tractor division. The units themselves are rebadged TYMs, the same as a lot of Mahindras. I wouldn't worry about the tractor, only if the service is going to be available in the future.

Fit a FEL to your 1510, sell the JD, get a small commercial ZTR to mow with. Best use of time & money.

That's a good attitude to have. I find myself falling into the mindset of needing being somehow better than wanting, and I'm not the only one on the forum who does. If you want a SCUT, buy a SCUT.
