Considering a Split Fire 48" Carry All PTO Bucket

The old fashion dirt scoop is cheaper and can be used to dig or back into a pile of material. They are very handy put them on with cutting edge forward and the will make wonderful shallow ditches. And they gravity dump.

Where may I see an image of an old-fashioned dirt scoop?

It seems there used to be a number of different manufacturers and a few different styles.

If you're interested in something more akin to this there are still some manufacturers out there.

I got one of these:
The carry all and scoop bucket are the two most used attachments on my tractors for hauling material. The yard wagon behind the yard tractor does get most of the calls for yard work. This past week I've been moving fire wood into the shed from open air stacks.

The FEL is a joke in comparison when moving soil, rocks, firewood etc, The FEL is an ABSOLUTE waste of time for light materials such as mulch and leaves .

The loader is GREAT for getting mixed soil up to drop onto the screen, It's great for spotting other implements like the blade or rake over short distances..

I have the carry all decked in wood, if I had seen the tool central to this discussion, I would have seriously considered it instead. IIRC the carry all frame is less than $200, and I had the wood kicking around. "good to put it to use before it rots away ;-)

Different strokes for different folks. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder!"

Here's my reasons for investigating this:

I cannot use my 60-inch mid-mount mower with a FEL attached.

A front end loader takes up a lot of space in storage.

This will apparently carry as much (or more) than a FEL

A FEL is over $6000 for my tractor. This is $1800
Why can you not use a FEL with you MMM?
