2020 Kubota MX5400 HST, ROPS, 2020 Kubota RTV 900, 2020 Kubota RTV 500(wifeç—´ ride),
We are moving back to acreage to build our dream home. Have owned Kubota B2320 and Kubota M model with 50 hp in 2 wheel drive. The land we are purchasing is 30 acres total, all fenced, couple of small ponds, probably 2 acres wooded, other areas of mixed growth, probably 15 acres pasture, remainder will mow with zero turn. Our plan is to get all of acreage under wildlife conservation, so will limit mowing somewhat, planned to buy disk harrow to prepare and maintain various plot plantings for different wildlife habitat and food sources. Know the Grand L 3560 is my first choice, with 5 implements generally. Wife may add one horse, for herself, but don稚 plan to be bailing any hay. When I had the Kubota M 5660(I think that was the model), it was a good compliment to the B 2320. The B model had loader, tiller, the M had 8 disk harrow and dual spindle 8 rotary mower.

Trying hard to find a way to just buy one tractor and a good compliment of implements. I am not considering any other brands, devoted Kubota owner, getting the best machine for the job is more important than price, wife is very supportive to å*µet what you need philosophy, and we have been blessed to pretty much be able to do that for most things.

Thanks in advance, it had been a few years since I was active on this forum, glad to be moving back to the country.

Congratulations on moving back to the country! Living in Texas I would recommend adding a cab even if it means you need to step up to the L4060. I also think a person should buy the most HP offered for the series that meets your requirements. Enjoy to hunt!

Kubota has come out with a new series of the MX with a cab, they look pretty nice. As far as 30 acres, an MX would easily handle most implements you would want. I couldn't live without mine.

If you can be content with operating a 60" Rotary Cutter an L3560 should be just right. The L3560 is agile around trees.

I like the ground level fueling.

My open station L3560 has R4 rear tires inflated with air. I do not have traction problems with 4-WD engaged.

If you opt for a cab model 'Grand L', consider the non-turbo L4760 over the L3560. L4760 will power a 72" Rotary Cutter, the cab AC and cab weight combined. The cab will provide ample weight over the rear wheels without rear tire loading.

If your new place will be at altitude, keep in mind that a naturally aspirated engine will lose 3% of engine power per 1000' of elevation. A turbo can make up for a good part of that.
Also the 3560 comes with the lowest capacity loader available in the grand L series, which could be an issue depending on what you'll be doing with the loader.

I have only used Land Pride attachments in the past, they have done a good job for me, Jeff your disc harrow does look like a top quality, well engineered piece of equipment. Do you feel a 5’ medium duty rotary mower will perform well in 3’ coastal Bermuda and food plot plantings behind the L3560. I don’t push my equipment hard and don’t mind putting the seat time, beauty of retirement. Will likely mow part of 15 acres maybe twice a year.

Yes a 60" rotary cutter is just perfect for Texas Bermuda field grass over 3 feet high. Its nimble enough to swing around any trees you may have, and wide enough to polish off 15 acres quickly. If you get a cab model, you will have to trim the lower branches of the trees, to allow movement of your cab tractor.

I am keeping most of my trees on my property, and posting signs as to the name and variety of the tree for elementary school field trips. I have a beautiful two rail cedar fence around my stand of Honey Locust trees, to protect the kids.

My Deere 4720 is a cab model and we have lots of live oaks on the property. I back my 72" shredder into our trees with low branches, I can get real close to most of the trunks. Plus it's good exercise twisting my torso around when backing :)

Good post.

I pull a heavy-duty Land Pride 60" RCR2660 weighing 1,008 pounds through Florida jungle with no problems.
