I wouldn't expend too much time searching for a cheaper deal than that. If that were my tractor and boxblade, I wouldn't take less than $3,500 for the package.

What I think he meant was....a cheaper deal than Wayne at LMTC. He may find it, it may be reconditioned to unknown standards.
Wayne sells a quality tractor, no pressures. In my mind, I'd pay for quality. Wayne spent 1-2 hours with me, although he may not remember me from that day. And I didn't buy from him because I did happen across a good tractor at a good price from a private seller. But he did spend the time to discuss anything I wanted. If you look at the Big 3 posts, all of them will say....."Be comfortable with your dealer". If I was to buy another Yanmar, it certainly would be from him.

I completely agree. That is why I didn't bid on this tractor. It seemed a little too good to be true, and I had no means to check it out before I bought it. What I meant to say in my previous post is that even though there may be some cheaper deals out there (like this one on eBay) I think I would rather buy from a local person that I can trust, even if it costs a bit more. It will be worth it to me.

The other thing is, even though I am very mechanically inclined, I still don't know a lot about these tractors, so it makes sense to buy from somebody that does no what to look for. People like Wayne, it seems, work with these things all the time. Plus LMTC is a lot closer to home so I don't have to drive 1000 miles to get it or pay a lot for shipping. Makes sense all the way around /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
