Can anyone explain to me what the Mahindra "Constant running power take off" really means...I've got tractors that have "live" PTO that can be set to run or not...I've got tractors that have PTOs that work off the Trans..(antiques)...but what if you had a brush hog behind your CRPTO and you needed to start the tractor, but it wouldn't turn over because your PTO drags it down...?? Am I way off 1st base here?? Also the old Mahindra 3505 says it has "live" PTO, but the newer replacement tractors say CRPTO...what gives? BobG in VA

I don't know what you are asking here, but the constant running PTO will allow the rotary cutter to wind (coast) down without shoving the tractor forward through the tranny. On the newer ones, there may be a brake on the PTO drive that stops the PTO as well. Just where and exactly how the Mahindra CRPTO is and functions, I can't say.
