I need a control valve for a 26 ton MTD log splitter. I cannot find any number anywhere. I removed the shaft and the spring and four balls were rusted and pitted. It would stall the engine and I could not move the control lever. I tried removed the shaft and cleaned it, it was rusty pretty bad but now I cannot get the thing back together and now I have lost one of the four small balls. I tapped on the end with a small hammer and it flew apart. It did try to work when I cleaned it and but it was slow coming back. I did not try to split wood but I did get the cylinder to move again. Anyway I can identify the control valve by maybe pictures because I cannot find any info written on it. I cannot even find the data tag on the frame of the splitter. All I know it is a 26 ton MTD and I would say probably 10 to14 years old. I included a picture of the valve less the one ball I lost. I am not sure how to put this thing back together. I may can find the ball if it would be possible to make it work again. Otherwise I will just buy a new control valve. Thanks for any help.
