Danno1, Firgelli describes it as IP54 Rating (splash and dust resistant). When attached to my tractor I keep it in a shed, unless being used. When it is taken off it is stored under a tarp.

I noticed on their site they have a rubber boot that covers the motor for $10.00, wouldn't hurt to have that on too.

Thanks Charles, it's nice to see it's got an IP rating as opposed to just "water resistant". The reason I asked was not only because of the snow and ice crust melting but down where I live I've had to blow snow in rain or frzg rain on occasion too. Seems like you're covered for both cases.
