I have the bug to convert my 3 point trailer mover to a 3 point log skidder attachment. Attached is a pic of my trailer mover. It's mounted to my Kubota L3830.
I would like to add a boom to the top similar to a Wallenstein FXP20 skidding plate. Check it out here. FXP Skidding Plate - Wallenstein
I'm interested in your opinions and ideas. One concern I have is pulling too hard on the top link. But it would be no different than the commercially available Wallenstein.
I need the specs on the chain slot opening. I will either use 5/16" or 3/8" chain. Probably 5/16".
The project will be designed in AutoDesk Inventor. I'll share the progress with you.
I also plan to install a rear blade or bumper like the Wallenstein. The blade will prevent damage to the tractor and be handy if I ever use a winch with the attachment.
