Kubota B20 TLB & new hollandtc30
i just purchased a new holland 757c to install on my 1520 ford tractor. i dont have rear hyd ports, and from what ive read on here, its a real pain in the behind to do. id like to convert to a self contained. my tractor spec says its 6.3 gpm, and total is 9.2 with pressure around 2100. so if i get a 5 gal hyd tank, and a pto pump thats roughly 7gpm at 2100 pressure, would this work????? if anyone has ever converted to a self contained, I really need your HELP. Thank you

Yep, you're on the right track. You'll want to consider adding filtration...not strictly necessary... But we'll protect your investment.

Do you have any front hydraulic ports? Like for a loader? How about a front pto?

If yes to either, you have some options to consider (and maybe price out).

Keep in mind that there s no magic, other than it's already done, to the pto pump. You can mod any pump with a shaft adapter for your pto to run. The sole, imo, advantage of the purpose made pto pump is that it allows your pto shaft to pass through, so you can still power your bush hog or whatever wo removing the pump setup.

Post a pic or details and I'll help where I can... I learned from here and hands on...
Good luck. You can nail this... You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the help, ill get a few pics this wk end, its a 1520 Ford 4x4 , with 7108 loader. ive read many things on here about some [ power beyond ] in the valve for the front loader control, and something about buying some 300 dollar plate from Woods. im an electrician, along with plumbing, and actually run heavy equipment 6 months a yr. Hyd should basically be flow in, and flow out. there must be something im not understanding, because there is alot of post on here with the same problem. i was thinking of the self contained idea only because i can use it on many tractors, and not have to do all that other stuff to the tractor , everytime i may put it on a different tractor, But, im open to suggestions. thanks Gregg

This illustration shows the diverter block similar to your 1520. To connect your backhoe, interrupt the power beyond flow from the loader valve back to the block and use that to power the backhoe valve stack. Connect the return to the tank port in the diverter block or remove the 3/8 pipe plug from the cover of the three point hitch valve and return the oil there. You do not need to buy any expensive valve or power beyond plates. Just a couple hoses and quick couplers.

As Rick pointed out above , that is how my 757 connects to my TC 30 . The hose that connects to the front disables the 3 point , thus there is no chance of damage to either the 3 point or the backhoe . The back , shorter line is , is the return to tank line . Simple hook-up , takes about 1 minute for the lines , maybe 3 or 4 minutes to get the sub frame lined up .

Maybe a lot cheaper and easier to go factory set-up than to try and customize ??

Yes , the Front loader still works like normal . Only the 3 point is disabled , ( well at least on my TC 30 it is ) . Prevents someone from trying to use the 3 point with BH installed .

Now , If You are installing as a 3 point ????? , Then not sure how that would work out . Guessing You would hook up the back to the 3 point at a given height , and then use the stabilizers to support when used . My Brother has a JD with a after market import self contained BH . With the PTO shaft installed , The is some movement up and down , but in reality what causes lack of movement is the toplink is so long with a self contained unit , that it does not pivot as much as it does with regular 3 point equipment .
My tractor is different , as Rick B. pointed out in another thread . He is Extremely Knowledgeable .

Thanks FredH, i have a subframe, so im good there. the return line will be simply i think, but the pressure side is stumping me. do i put a tee, on the hyd manifold, so one line can stay hooked up to the power beyond at the loader valve, and off the other side of tee, run it to the pressure side of the backhoe valve ? ill be out in the barn in the AM, to check things out. RickB sent a diagrahm. it doesnt make sense at the moment, but maybe with eyes on the tractor it will. Thanks again. by the way, i have a TC 30 also, and i believe the manifold where all the hyd is for the loader etc comes from, is excatly the same as my 1520 ford. I am also taking the 3 point arms etc off, it will always be a backhoe while i own it

First picture is hose from BH attached to hose from manifold block from loader .

2nd picture is what the manifold looks like after the hose is un connected from it .

third picture is hose connected to the manifold , thus allowing 3 point to work .
