Ford 1920 4x4 (traded in on Kubota). Case 480F TLB w/4 in 1 bucket, 4x4. Gehl CTL60 tracked loader, Kubota L4330 GST
This will seem odd but I want to temporarily use a pin on style bucket on my L4330 tractor/LA853 loader that presently has a skidsteer quick attach mount. I built a device that attaches to the back of the bucket but my skidsteer type QA is in the way.

Ist question is- If I remove the QA mechanism from the loader, , do the loader arms and cylinders line up with a standard pin on bucket?

2nd question is- Where could I buy a beat up standard bucket?

Thanks,

John

If the bucket is designed for your loader, it will go right on. The hydraulic cylinders are the same whether you have a QA or standard stock Kubota bucket. As far as finding a used bucket...... first suggestion is to try Craigslist. I see a fair amount of used Kubota buckets on CL around here. Second thought is to look at area dealers. Its reasonable to think a fair amount of tractor owners switch over to skidsteer QAs...... so maybe a dealer will have a 'take-off' bucket from a customer's machine.

Unfortunately, there is no standard for the spacing of loader boom arms.
Your FEL might have the same spacing as a few other Kubota FELs, but
almost certainly no other brands.

Since both Kubota and JD FELs often come with economy buckets, buyers
often upgrade to heavy duty ones when they buy their tractor. This leaves
a bunch of buckets at the dealers. You might find one at your Kubota
dealer. I have seen a bunch at my JD dealer.

JMC, I have a pin on bucket from an L4400/LA723 combiniation that i no longer use, and I am in central Indiana... If you are interested, i can measure it up for you tomorrow, and I'm sure we can work something out.... Email me at teeguarden@hrtc.net

Ductape and Dave,

Thanks for the replies. I had suspected that the QA was a bolt-on option that would accomodate a regular Kubota bucket once it was removed. That leaves me with finding a used Kubota bucket for my particuliar loader. The thought about other owners converting to from pin-on to QA and therefore freeing up hardware for someone moving in the opposite direction seems reasonable. So far, not so good. No ebay listings. No Craigs List listings around here. (can't figure out how to search nation wide on CL). TBN classifieds are, apparently, only for dealers. I'll just have to get more resourceful.

Thanks,

John

New Kubota pin-on buckets are pretty reasonably priced, a 60" bucket is around $400 give or take. When you find a used bucket, it normally doesn't sell for much less and you usually make a big condition sacrifice.

Here is a link to a B-series price list; B-Series Pricing Sheet

You can find bucket prices listed on page 4. This may not fit your LA853 FEL but I can't imaging the Kubota buckets for that FEL being much more.

Thanks,

That's what I have, a used Kubota flat back bucket that I took off after converting...since the tractors are of similar horsepower and size, my bucket might fit your loader. Measure between the arms, on the INSIDE, and let me know the measurement..

Dave,

The inside arm dimension is 37" even. I couldn't mic the pins but they are either 30mm or a sloppy 1 3/16". Inside dimension between the QA flanges is 3 3/16". (width of arm plus clearance) The existing bucket is 6'. The hydraulic cylinder attachment is not directly to the bucket but to a linkage instead, for a bigger range of motion.

Well, All the dimensions are exactly the same, except for the pins. My pins are 31/32" to 1" as measured by a set of calipers. So, unless you have access to some bushings, you may be out of luck... I will give you the pins if we can work it out.. Let me know. Dave

Sent you an email so we don't bore everyone else to tears.
