Well I would say the clue is in the casing. According to Merriam Webster, "In centrifugal or axial flow fans, air is led through an inlet port to the center, or eye, of the impeller, which forces it radially outward into the volute, or spiral, casing from which it flows to a discharge chute." If you can envision the air path making it's way through the spiral casing, it can only go one way to blow out the the discharge chute effectively. Maybe the pic will help.

Conversion of a Toro Groundmaster 72 front mount mechanical PTO driven Olathe Model 67 to a Jaconsen T422D front mount hydrostatic motor PTO driven unit.
.
Looking through the Jacobsen website - could only locate a rear mount Buffalo 3 PT Model B-40 mechanical PTO unit as Jacobsen OEM.
.
The 'dholly' conversion article proved very inspiring.
.
Found a little used Toro Groundmaster 72 front mount mechanical PTO driven Olathe Model 67 Debris Blower in as close to excellant mint condition as you can get.
.
Found a Jacobsen Snowblower with Hydraulic Motor PTO adaptor frame. (Already own an AQUILLON Snowblower hydraulical motor PTO driven unit and a Jacobsen OEM mechanical PTO driven Snowblower - the front end, i.e., the Jacobsen Snowblower is interchangeable between the hydraulic adaptor and the mechanical adaptor - so I this gives me two identical front ends, i.e., a spare)
.
Used the Jacobsen hyadraulic motor PTO driven adaptor frame (exploded assembly drawing is also available on the Jacobsen and Ransomes Jacobsen - Renowned for Turf Maintenance Solutions website with a component parts listing) as the starting point for dimensional and component parts take offs.
.
Built an equivalent adaptor frame, adapted as required to fit the back of the Olathe Model 67 Blower.

Yeah I know cheated - not much origianality and brainy creativity.
.
Already have an Jacobsen compatable AQUILLON Quick Connect Adaptor assembly for my AQUILLON Snowblower.
.
Using the Kubota Tractor Corporation website for their F Series Front Mower implements / front mount quick adaptor & the shoe on the back of my existing AQUILLON Snowblower as a model for take-offs - Fabricated an equivalent shoe for the back of the modified Olathe Model 67 Blower. Used a spare Jacobsen Hydraulic Motor from a spare parts Jacobsen mower deck, and completed the conversion which is for all appearances similar to the mechanical PTO unit equivalent of the Kubota F Series Debris Blower (but prettier)
.

If I could ever figure out how to attach graphics to these messages (did several times in the past okay - but not apparently able to now) - I would show you what the final product looks like.
.
Works great. Have quick connect high volume oil flow connectors. Together with the Jacobsen compatiable AQUILLON made Quick Disconnect Adaptor - can quickly drop off or attach the modified Olathe Model 67 Debris Blower blower.
.
Have plans for other quick connect hydraulically driven attachments - plow blade, rotary brush, log splitter, maybe generator, maybe winch, whatever can be made into a quick connect hydraulical motor PTO driven attachment successfully. May even be responsible for creating a few duds too - but its fun to try.

Hello dholly
I've read this thread with great interest. I have a Kubota B7510 and also dug up an Olathe 67 but with the 52 - 62 installation kit. I believe that the challenges you have overcome are the same as the ones I am about to face. I'm wondering if you have the manual for the Model 67 and if so would you be willing to share some of the pages. I would also be grateful for the part number and supplier of the Maska 12.75 pulley. You have done a great job with your project. I am going to something similar and hope to have the success you have enjyed. I'm in Canada but not far from your location. My wife and I enjoy travelling through the Finger Lakes.
Thanks

Hello mperatikos
I have a Model 67 with the GM 62 install kit. I have some pics of the parts I'll likely have left over. I'll sent them to you if you wish. I may live close to you. i'm often Watertown way.

This fall I purchased a Model 67 and want to mount on a GM 223. Could you post some pics for me to see how it is mounted?

Thanks

First day of Fall, folks must be thinking leaves already! -chuckle-

Hey bud.
Great post! I am converting one now. I'm following your build. However I have a question. How did you attach the smaller pulley to the 1-3/8" shaft. The hub doesn't reach the shaft.
Thx John

@John - I just pulled the blower out of the woods and cleaned it up yesterday so your PM was timely. While it's been many years since the blower build, I can tell you that the small pulley I used on the fan shaft has worked perfectly in spite of what appears to be limited grip. I mounted the smaller pulley split hub in standard (rather than reverse) orientation with as much grip as possible and you can see in the one attached pic where the fan shaft is only very slightly shorter than the split hub. It was solid and has never wobbled under belt tension and years of use. After some under the tarp 'seasoning', that sucker looks to be rusted on pretty solid now lol.

To all folks who found inspiration in this thread and converted a big blower, please post up a few words and pics showing your completed project. We all love pics!
