Tom, I think the Amish in your area have the real solution to high fuel prices.....

Don't use gasoline. Use propane and horses.
Live a simple life. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I wonder if they compare their horses to other people's horses like we compare Fords, Chevys and Dodges???? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice work! I run on very expensive fuel too. About a buck for 12oz! I'm pretty efficient though...
I get a good days work out of 24 to 36 oz!

( Harv......... are you interested in welding up an elaborate gate for a friend of mine in PA ?? You could build it at home to his specs and he could handle the freight to PA...........I told him I would ask you.............Thanks in advance.......Tom)

Up front, I'm easy, just not cheap. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can't really see where such a project would be beneficial to the both of us. I'm sure there are more qualified fabricators than myself much closer and more reasonably priced, especially when one considers the freight.

However /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif if your friend has a challenging and unique concept I might be interested. I'm a sucker for challenges. I really like things, well like, doing conventional things in unconventional ways or doing unconventional things in conventional ways.

If your friend is interested after all that ya'll can PM me and we can talk about it. My plate is full but we're in the kitchen so..................

TOMLESCOEQUIP I quickly noticed the fire extinguisher mounted on the wall next to your fridge. I suspect that the alcohol content in the cooler warrants the use of this extinguisher so I'll bet there is more than cold beer to go around. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif If so, that is what I call a real pit stop!

I had to clear a spot in my hobby garage for the new pump/fridge.........I had a drum of 114 octane race gas stored in that corner.........I have a couple old vehicles that need lead to run without destroying the motors and usually buy a drum a year for mixing with premium unleaded so I can enjoy a drive now and then. When I moved the drum, the fire ex. just looked right and I thought it needed to stay with the new fridgepump.................Tom

Yes they do compare horses in a like way. However the cost of running and maintaining them will make your head spin. If you want to make a million dollars in the horse bus. it is very easy, start with 2 million and work until you have a million left.

I love the draft horses myself, big wonderful creatures.

TOMLESCOEQUIP, That is sooo cool!! It would be neat to have something like a 1/4 keg plumbed through the hose to fill your mug ,But the work involved would be a little much I suppose.... I have an old gilbarco pump that I need to restore see pic! I think I'll end up leaving it just about same location with motion sensor to turn on pump lights at night...
Again very nice ,I love nostalgia items... Mark S. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
