+1...very unique!

Here's a few shots from this past Saturday's hike, various trails in the Conkle's Hollow & Hocking State Forest area in SE Ohio. Fall color was probably 3-5 days past peak, due to recent rains & high winds, but still breathtaking none-the-less.

Been to conkles hollow many yrs ago. I grew up east of Caldwell.

This shot is of a bull snake, up on top of a 13' post in my pole barn. That's the roof tin you can see in the photos. How he got up there I have no idea, but somehow he knew that bird nest was up there and so he went up and had a snack of eggs or baby birds.

They have mastered the indignant look but beware those claws, they do know how to use them, look but don't try to touch.

When thinking about time I often relate it to the differences in species on the different continents of our Earth. Or even the different languages of man. That takes more than a couple decades. A Koala is a prime example.

Took this yesterday. He's a jumping spider ( Jumping spider - Wikipedia ), about the size of a pencil eraser. Found him living in the wife's horse trailer.
