A time-lapse video of the aurora borealis I captured over Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park Pennsylvania. This was photographed on October 10th, 2024 between 7:27 PM & 11:43 PM EST. The peak in activity occurred around 9:50 PM.

I live on the saltwater, and I don't mind seagulls a bit. The seagulls here are not adapted to city life, they live as nature intended and work for their food. If there are sea lions working herring balls or whatever, yes they pick scraps out of the water. But they never are on my deck or roof looking for French fries.Then what are seagulls?

Back in the early 80's my wife and I saw the reds like that here with the naked eye. It was pretty incredible. Today, there is too much light pollution here.

We live in northern Indiana. About 30 miles from lake Michigan. Seagulls are at every shopping center in the area. We see them at every town's shopping areas from here to Indianapolis. Friend of mine was at the beach at Michigan City, IN this summer. One of his kids made the mistake of throwing a handful of potato chips at his brother. SEAGULLS! AHHHH!!!! His wife went running. The kids laughed hard.

I loaded my stuff in the back of the vehicle and put my fries just inside while I put my cart away 2 cars over.
I had planned to have my fries outside sitting in the back of my vehicle, sort of tailgate style. The hatch acting as a sun guard.
Before I even turned around there were 2 gulls fighting over my fries.
I'm just thankful they didn't crap inside.
I was soo POed. I collected the leftover fries and threw them in a garbage can so they wouldn't get anymore. At least until they got to the dump.

I got a couple of pictures of the comet tonight. It’s like the northern lights were, the cell phone camera picks it up better but once you knew where to look you coukd see it with the naked eye.
