It sounds like the new Grizzly 700 is what I will start saving for. Is the Grizzly still a single cylinder, I hope so, as we have all hydrolocked our machines more than once , and it seems as though the single cylinders just quit running, and once you drain them out , they are fine,[at least so far!!!!]. Everybody that I know who has hydrolocked a twin has grenaded it, [both big bore polaris 4 strokes] I realy don`t think it has anything to do with brand, I am thinking that water just stops a single cylinder most of the time, where on a twin, [or any multiple cylinder engine] when one cylinder initialy hydro`s the other is still trying to rotate the engine and causes catostrophic damage.

There's a reason all the big bore 4x4 are belt drive. They work so well. The belt drive will ramp up the gearing smoothly. A manual would have to drop traction to shift. the autos will gear down also as you go down a steep hill.
On my brute I almost never touch the brakes, it has a clutch kit as well as few other mods;) . Have you took a look at high lifters website?

yep. I've only been through one belt. I hammered throttle in sticky mud while in high range. Been through 2 axles though. 29.5 outlaws spinning in mud and then grabbing on a root snaps stock ones. Now there's gorillia axles in the back.

We should rename this thread to "Why one should seriously consider buying new stuff instead of used"

i only really use the brakes if i'm goin down into a ditch other than that the engine brake pretty much stops the rhino or atleast brings it to a slow crawl.i bet the engine braking would do really good on a hilly ride.

loods like stock tires, that plus low clearence on those side by sides. My grizzley with itp mud lites wouldn't even know a mud hole was there =oP. Before the grizzly though I used to wheel with a 2wd yamaha and that thing would sniff mud and get stuck.
