More likely frost plug damage.

Antifreese will eat at the white mettal in your bearings.l

Putting the stop leek into the water is not the answer as it will cause other problems in the winter. Black Ground Peper is one of the best, cheepest to temporary stop the leek

Frost Plugs are about $1.00 each so are cheep.

I'm a bit nervous of what I'm going to find when I eventually have to tear this engine down, which I probably will . While the following happened to my Chevy 350 pickup engine, I may find the same problems with my Ferguson.
As nearly as I can determine, the head gasket on the truck engine blew on #7 cylinder, between the cylinder and a water cooling passage. That created a gas bubble in the cooling system, which caused the water pump to cavitate, and the temperature on the dash gauge to suddenly rise . ( I noticed that.) The overheating caused a head bolt to break. The head bolt that broke was the one in the path of all the oil returning to the crankcase at the firewall end of the head. That allowed oil in great quantities to get sucked into #7 cylinder, causing clouds of smoke out the tailpipe. When I removed the cylinder head, I found several hairline cracks in the head, and both the head and the block deck surface had been erroded away by the combustion gases escaping through the blown gasket channel. The head was replaceable, but the erroded channel in the block deck was a different matter. I put a lot of time and money into an attempted repair, but in the final analysis there were too many problems with the well worn engine to proceed any farther. The truck is now a lawn ornament. I'd sure hate for my Ferguson to become a lawn ornament too.
