Cooper Creek - South Australia, in flood.

Thought some of you may be interested.

First flood in 20 years, sadly all this fresh water ends up in Lake Eyre - a salt lake.

Never been to this part of my state but maybe one day.

Is that an electric impact wrench in the foreground of the second pic?

One of the best outback trips of my life. Adelaide>Broken hill>Tibboburra>Cameron corner> Innaminka>camping by Coopers Creek> The Dig Tree, and finally the Strezlecki track back to home. Lots of Burke and Wills history, and other explorers (Sturt and Stuart). If you ever go, read Alan Mooreheads book "Coppers Creek beforehand. It really brings it alive.

Interesting...particularly all the lines on the map ... reminds me of the NAZCA lines. Who knew?
