Problem solved - and new created. I did not expect the tree to last through this wind storm and it didn't. I also did not hear it go down. Nice wood, logs will go to saw mill, the rest just burn.

The wind was so strong, that it put down tilted seat of my tractor!

Things went well for you Prokop!:thumbsup:

The wind did not touch my potential hanger which I want down but did take down about six other pine trees. :(

Wow! Prokop, that wind took that tree down in a perfect position without any damage to surrounding trees or structures. It's too bad you could not save it, but Mom Nature felled it for you nicely.

Well, that solves that, now doesn't it!

Glad you and yours were no where around when it went came down.

Just curious about the sawmill comment. Having never sent anything to the sawmill, how does that work?

One neighbor has a saw mill and all I need to do is to load it on a trailer and get it to him. And pay him of course. I usually cut the logs into 10' pieces, drag it under my A frame (the one I used to lift jeep engine with) and lift it with a come a long on the trailer.

The neighbor has a nice setup, under a roof with huge circular blade and powered by engine from old ?Allis Chalmer?

I'm kind of i the same boat, our farm renter has a sawmill. If I need lumber sawed, I cut the tree & tell him what I need. He pick up the log, saws it & sometimes delivers, no charge! In return, I try to keep the brush cut around the fields. ~~ grnspot110
