Hey GWDixon:
Your picture of a small aerator -- I have one just like it. But I'm confused: your unit has a 232 model number. Mine has a red paint coat that was overpainted with JD green, and no model number. Wonder if a 3rd party mfgr made them for 2 different OEM's like Woods making its own stuff plus under contract to JD??? Whadda you know about it?
Jim
Unfortunately, I don't know a darn thing about it. My JD dealer doesn't either. When a few new spoons were needed the counter guy said that he had never heard of such a thing. He was able to find parts in his catalog however.
Your best bet may be to talk with a JD dealer (or not). JD sells a manual for it if you do a Google search. Your idea of a subcontractor making them is a good one. JD probably doesn't have an aerator factory.
Mine had the top link attachment placed way too high for my little Kubota BX2200 so it was cut off and repositioned lower. Yours may show this difference.
It was won on eBay for $20. The seller was a car overhauler that had no idea what it was and mis-listed it. Mine was the only bid.
