Corn Planter ID

Im having trouble identifing this Allis-Chalmers planter. It has three rows and I can't find a three row on the net. Heres a pic. I just bought it for $350. ITS IN SUCH GREAT CONDITION.

Any chance it was modified and made smaller to fit the last owners needs?

it is possible but why does it have three fertilizer hops? the four row planters have two larger hops!

Not sure I can answer that. Was thinking along the lines or a six or even 9 row being cut down.

Completely possible. It would be an easy job if it were a 6 row with this style of planter. I'll look harder but I don't see any signs of cut on the frames square tubing as of yet.

I just restored one. Was a four row pretty similar to yours. I cut it down to a three row. I have some pictures on another thread.
