Look at it this way. The more known and documented cases that prove to be minor will help bring down the stats and de-sensationalize this whole mess.

I just saw some rather disturbing news. Business Insider ran a couple articles on the virus, today. The word is - Medicaid & Medicare will cover the cost of testing. There is concern on how much of the treatment costs will be covered by these two plans.

Perhaps that is why there were people who were "cleared" and then "reinfected" after having gotten over it, they first had the L variant and now have the S variant or visa versa?

I heard speculation that two different versions could explain some of the confusion over the mortality rate and reinfection reports. Hopefully the coming weeks will provide clarity with additional testing. Here is an article on the pathogenicity of the 1918 flu epidemic that discusses the mutation of the virus.

Italy to close all schools and universities

My daughter is at the University of Washington. She thinks they are getting ready to close. It will be interesting to see how much education can be done on the internet. My wifes company is trying to figure out if their infrastructure will work if everyone has to work from home.

Well the wife wanted onion rings so we went to Arby's. I got a big old roast beef dripping in Cheese....

Love those. We gotta drive 80 miles to get Arby's. Gotta drive 50 miles to get Wendy's.

A New Hampshire man who this week tested positive as the first case of coronavirus in the state is bringing self-quarantine to the forefront after he ignored medical advice to stay home.

Instead of avoiding contact with others – as he was advised to do after he visited the doctor Friday, with a fever and respiratory problems – that same night the man went to a mixer for medical workers and students near Dartmouth’s campus, The New York Times reported.

On Monday, the man, who works at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., tested positive for the virus and this week a second patient who had “close contact” with him tested positive as well and is in self-quarantine.

The man is now under official order from New Hampshire’s health commissioner to stay home.

That simply means you have a much greater chance to living a healthier life!

The incident that txdon describes is just one reason a lot of us are going to get to "play" in this game.
