I and wife are in the 9.6 group . . . the higher end of it (age wise). We are not around people that much except the wife and her church attendance . . . got to discuss that with her

The churches (most) here have cancelled services for the next several weeks.

How do they work as a tire thermometer? It seems like a good way to check for front end problems before I trash yet another set of tires.

I had never thought of using it for that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yeah, if you are in that group, you might need to rethink some of your activities around people. As you can see by that graphic your mortality rates go up pretty sharply. As of course even with the "regular" flu. Remember it kills thousands every year and for the same reasons. Immune system not as viable any more and you come down with pneumonia and then you might die.

With hand sanitizer unavailable and the good liquor expensive, what else is out there?

Dairymen have all sorts of wash solutions. Are there any that are pure ethyl alcohol, or suitable as hand sanitizer?

I think they use a lysol based solution, not alcohol.

As I've mentioned before, good old soap and water is great. In summer I keep soap and a large sized coffee container with water in each truck, and always have a towel there. It's pretty nice to be able to wash my hands if I need to.

Soap and water is the best thing at home...reserve the sanitizer and wipes for when the soap and water are unavailable...

Empty dish soap containers make decent water bottles for keeping in a car etc...

I'm sure they will be explaining the ratio to make disinfectant from household bleach etc...

Yep, we have our pneumonia shots up to date, but yes I need to speak to the wife about just that because she also goes to her prayer groups, bible study and the such.

Ky’s first covid-19 patient has fully recovered and has been sent home. We are up to 12 cases now.
