Correct bolts for 3rd rear remote on NX series.

Sigh.. What a mess. Been through 2 sets of bolts already and still don't have the 3rd rear remote installed. Looking at the Kioti literature, for the 3rd rear remote, they specify part number TE14-0015A as the correct part. Unfortunately, that part appears to be made out of unobtainum, no Kioti dealer anywhere can get it (they don't even have a record of the part existing, but I'm holding the install instructions for the remote in my hand where they specify that bolt). Anyway, went around to the local shops, it appears that the bolt is a shouldered M8-1.25 and I need about 180/190 mm length. I know there are some folks out there who did this on their NX, where in the heck did you get the bolts and what size were they? I saw a reference to an Arctic Cat part number but that appears to be an M10? I'm pretty certain my bolt is an M8, that's what it measured out at at Fastenall.

The kit I'm trying to install is the Kioti 2-3 kit, PN T5538-A04000112 (2->3 kit, detent). I just need to see the breakdown of the parts in that kit to get the PN for the bolts, I'm pretty sure my dealer ordered the 1-2 kit (which is identical except the bolts aren't as long).

Anyway, suggestions, please. Or, if someone would be so kind, the PN of the bolts they used/where they got them?

When I worked for a Kioti dealer up in NY we had to size those bolts ourselves and source them. I believe they were 180 mm long (you can verify this yourself) and I am pretty certain we sourced them from Fastenal.

180mm sounds about right, I was going to get 190's, but I think 180 will do it. M8x1.25 seems to be the ticket. I'm sure Fastenal will have them, in fact, they'll probably have 100 varieties to choose from out of their catalog. Do you remember anything else? Did they have shoulders on the threads? What class of bolt? I keep reading they have to be "hardened" but HOW hardened?

This situation, BTW, is ridiculous. If Kioti doesn't want to sell the bolts, at least give us a PN to source from somewhere else!

Just a standard bolt, no shoulder, standard thread / shank for the length. IIRC 8.8 was the only hardness we could get. Measure the length of the bolts supplied for the 2nd remote kit and add the thickness of the #3 valve slice to get the required bolt length. Measure underneath the head to the end.

I'm going to give 180's a try, found these at HD, had to order them, but at least they have a great return policy. If these are the right bolts, I'll update this thread so that other people don't go nuts trying to figure it out. The guy in tractor supply told me "just retap it", and, well, I have to say, that's probably a good answer too. They have a ton of long bolts that would work there, just none in metric.

What is the "NXA" part number of the kit you are trying to install? This number is typically on a sticker on the outside of the box. It's possible that you have the incorrect kit for your tractor [based on your serial number]. Kioti made some changes in the way that these remotes mount - therefore, you need to order a serial number specific kit.

I don't have the kit serial number, but I know it's wrong. The dealer could only get a 2nd function, not a 3rd, for whatever reason. So he ordered that and the bolts. The bolts they sent are PN 76KC-1019. The correct PN for the 3rd remote is TE14-0015A, however, nobody can look up or source (or even tell me what that part is). I have the packing list in my hand though from Kioti, and they clearly indicate that's the "right" bolt for the 3rd remote.

I've got the bolts ordered from HD, we'll see. I'm hoping they are right, but man, they are NOT easy to find. Pretty much going to have to order them, or retap the thread (LOL @ the typical TSC answer).
