As far as the pyramid selling scheme..is it..and there is no sense in debating that!
Don't ever buy a beer or an auto then. Do you think the person who would sell you either of those would be a the actual manufacturer?! I'm sorry to inform you, but it doesn't work that way. You won't even buy from a jobber or distributor. You will purchase from an end retailer; someone who deals directly with the public. Everyone along the chain of distribution earns some money along the line. That fits what you are considering a pyramid scheme. I suppose you ought to buy only from the Amish community if the distribution chain of products so deeply concerns you.

So..your excused now..go and pester someone else..or find another lube thread to make your sales proclaimations in. Your done here!
Who died and left you the keys to the castle?! The last time I checked, you are not only not an owner of this forum or a moderator, but only a relatively new user with some attitude issues. Nothing personal pal, but I don't think you will ever tell
anyone when they are "done" here on this forum. Have you any issues understanding that? I've reviewed the rules of posting here, I suggest you take the time to read them.
You go on and insult people all over this forum with your superior knowledge. Apparently you have some personality issues you need help with because if anyone on this forum even mentions "Amsoil" along with any other oils, you seem to lose your grasp on reality.

Red line and Royal purple..BOTH of which I uderstand to be very good products..ARE NOT AVAILABLE to me here!!! Lets get the "availabilty thing STRAIGHT..good lord dude!
With your "availability" issue, may I suggest you learn to use the internet for things other than insulting people who may not agree with you. My 6 year old can find either Royal Purple or Red Line readily available for purchase in about two minutes.

Other brands..both syn and dino that have MILLIONS of satisified customers..
Since you state your opinions as fact, name them; the names of the oil companies and testamonials of the "millions of satisfied customers". How about just names, addresses, and their comments about what specifically they are satisfied.
For the original poster, I think your dealer is giving you good advice. In your hot climate it wouldn't hurt to run the 15w40 in the summer months. By changing oil twice a year, the brand or type of oil you use shouldn't matter as long as it is diesel rated.
