Price Check Corriher Implement (dealer) in NC, TC30 pricing

I bought a TC-30 from Corriher in 2003. The two local dealers wouldn't budge an inch when I presented Corriher's price to them.
Corriher's personal did everything they said they would, plus very helpful to this first time tractor buyer.
Buying from them was a completely positive experience, from start to finish, and saving $2500 to boot.
I don't know why their prices are so low compared to others

Some folks probably get away without paying the tax. Some folks here have gotten a very nasty surprise a year or two after buying their tractor when they recieve a tax bill from their state for the tax due. Some here have even gotten a tax bill with a penalty and interest added to the tax.

Correct! Like they say, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time".

Instead of selling some equipment at a high margin like the majority of dealers Corriher's has elected to sell lots of equipment at a fair margin. It would be nice if more dealers chose to do the same.

Most people on this list do not make a living with their machines so perhaps they can afford to buy from a limited service dealer like Corriher. The local dealer has to maintain a full service & parts department as well as mobile service capability. This all cost money. Corriher doesn't have to support much of anything. If one of my tractors break, I can have it picked up and at my dealers shop with in a couple of hours. Buy a tractor from Corriher and see it your local dealer will perform warranty service on it.

I would not even bother to take the quote to the local dealer. If you do he needs to beat the other price (not match)and bend over and kiss your ;;;;. If he wont then buy from the other guy. I dont care who I bought it from the "make friends" with the dealer dont cut it with me.

I was in the local dealer's store 5 or 6 times looking at tractors, trying to work a deal, I talked to them before I bought from Corriher, told them to get within $500 and I'd buy from them, they couldn't/wouldn't
I've been in that local dealer at least ten times since I got my tractor, bought rear remotes, filters and fluids. and they are clueless who I am, and could care less
Their goal is to make money, period
every salesman under the sun is your best friend when he is trying to sell you something under his terms

Corriher Implement has been in business since 1946. My father worked in Lincolnton where Charles's brother Ted was and still is in business for 30 years. He was a salesman. Both have been and still are very successful. It's simple. They sell low and they sell a lot.

Its been covered before here, but basicly New Holland is powerless when it comes to making a dealer do warrenty service. Its pretty uncommon for NH to cover all the costs of fixing a tractor under warrenty, these repairs cost the dealership money. So if your showing up with another dealers tractor you may raise eyebrows. Now, that beging said, repeat customers are extremely important to a dealership. If you make a huge stink about matching prices and cry about going elsewhere you maybe remebered and have problems because they don't truly want your business. If your reasonable in your discussion they will probably just help you out. We don't turn down anyone, but I know other local shops who do.
