Cost of 50 hr service

Or maybe you should change the filters first, because it will be all messy in that spot if you don't. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The hydraulic oil would be over $100, and the Kioti filters would be another $100.

I know this won't help you much in Nevada, but at Batchelder Sales in Lebanon, Maine we do the 50 hour service for free and Dick or Eric will go through the tractor making sure everything is still the way it should be, hopefully preventing any issues in the future. And if we sold you the tractor pickup and delivery are also free.

I appreciate that. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I do have a 55 gallon drum that comes in real handy collecting the old fluid when changing the fluids in the tractor.

I know this is hard to belive, but the Harley and the Kioti are the only motorized machines I own that do not leak anything!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Mine was 273.00 for the 50 hour service. Break down was 3 hrs at $ 75. plus parts and lubing. he had to straightin a tie rod or something. I did not complain since I just broke the backhoe and got a replacement under warrenty. I will post pics and the story later.

I have a Farmtrac 270DTC with a Daedong 3A139 engine. I guess Daedong and Kioti are one in the same? The Farmtrac manual says to adjust the valves and torque the head bolts at the 50 hour interval on the little quick reference chart but in the main 50 hour service section there is no mention of doing it. I am thinking they just made a mistake checking that box on the service chart since they have it written in the 400 hour service to do the valves and head. The Farmtrac manuals are a little sparse on info. Any info would be appreciated, I'm at 32 hours and itching to start pulling some plugs. I have all the stuff to do the job but I would like to be taken through the valve adjustment procedure once before I attempted it myself.

Yes they are..

As far as adjusting the valves and torqing the head bolts at 50 hours. I don't recall that being mentioned in my owners manual.
I know I have never done it at 600 hours. (don't intend on doing it either)

I agree!! I think I'm around 480 hours and the motor has never been touched, and (ain't gonna be either). /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
