Cost of mid PTO on Grand L

Devildog,

For that wonderful 74" front snow blower. I live on the side of a mountain in NH snow country, my driveway is about 1000 feet long. Because of multiple injuries throughout my life, I have neck issues and cannot look over my shoulder to use a rear mounted blower.

Tom, I understand now. I had the front mounted snow blower on my BX23 and it worked great. I live in farm country with open corn fields and we receive lots of the white stuff. My drive in about 1/3 the size of yours. The big yellow (State wing plows) do our main road and throw lots os slush cement type on end of driveway, I need FEL for that. Good luck with mid pto, I now know that cost is way high, check with Barlows.

Not sure how it works with Kubota, but the "build your own" price for a JD 3320 is one thing for the factory install. For after sale dealer install the parts + control lever kit is about twice as much plus the labor to install. Mine is in the shop now having a mid pto installed, but I don't have the estimate paperwork handy and have not received the final bill. It's similar to if you buy a truck for $30K but if you bought all the parts and the dealer put it together it would be $300K.

Granted $3K does sound a bit high. Parts / labor for mine was in range of $1,500 IIRC.

My understanding is the GL's never come from the factory with the mid pto.
