What are people charging to brush hog in your area. what area do you live in. I am curious to see if it is differnt around the country. I was shocked to see people charging up to $75 a cut acre around southern michigan
Depending on the number of acres, and the lay of the land, people here in NE Texas are getting from $8 to $20 per acre for bush hogging. Average going rate for reasonably flat pastures 10-100 acres seems to be around $10 to $12 per acre.
I'd expect to see that number going down soon around macomb/oakland county due to so many people getting into the tractor service biz. I believe (but not hope) that b'hogging will begin to turn cutthroat. I would guess average is $60/hour in those areas with six foot cutter some are paranoid about tire damage and charge a min. of $250!!
Depends on how ornery the hogs are /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
Sorry, couldn't let it go.
I was offered 100$ per day by a local guy to clear his field. Problem with hoggin' is that there's usually nasty stuff down there. I know there's at least three areas in my own field that I've got to watch - and it took at least three passes to nail down where they are.
