It's been a little over a week since I had the rear tires filled... added 144 pounds per rear tire.

I noticed a big improvement when using the backhoe... the tractor stays put much better now.

I also noticed that I have a little less traction going up one of my steep dirt trails and need to use the differential lock more.

The filled tires are like running at full inflation plus some and loose a little traction since the tires cannot be deflated a little.

The best thing is NO MORE FLATS.

Ride hasn't bothered me at all... I don't use my BX for mowing and I don't drive it fast off road anyway...

Thanks for every one's input...

It seems the threads I could find are all very old. I never heard of it until yesterday when I bought a zero turn mower with the front 11x4 tires filled. The ticket from a Co-op farm store in middle TN charged $25 for each and would not do the rears because it would add too much stress on the axles he said. I guess it is more mass to start and stop.

The front tires have some give but I think less than they would at 15 PSI. I know the front tires on the Snapper give me grief for sure. I would NOT want to give up any traction on the drive wheels and there are NO traction issues on the front tires. :D

Hey ultrarunner,

Now that you have a couple of years on the tires, what is your feeling about foaming the rears? My tractor has foam filled fronts which are about worn through and I think I'll fill the new ones when I eventually get them replaced. Never thought about doing the rears until now.

Are you guys using Ag tires or Industrial Tires (I think they are called R4's)?
I could see the front tires, but the back tires seem a bit much, especially if you are planning on doing it over and over. Seems like buying a spare tire and rim would be more practical than spending the money, but it also depends on what your driving it on I guess. I do too much time on assfault to do the rears. I've never done the fronts either, but I've thought about it. I've been using Ag's, and have a new Kubota coming with R4's, we'll see how they hold up, I'll probably foam the fronts, I think I'm going to get a extra set of front tires and rims also. I rarely have problems with the back tires, but I'm not driving over a burnt down house all the time either
