My corp card has a 3k limit... that is the max since I am no longer management... the Admin has 2ea 10k cards... depending on what it is... but can also request overnight Fedex check.
So here is the problem with the corporate "P" card... first it it a pain in the neck to code each expense into the right category as there are pages of codes... I had to pick up meals for the board meeting one night and it tool 3 attempts to code it right... it was done as a favor... meal, non staff, non physician, Special Event Director Meeting Scheduled... I'm guess the cost per person limit isn't as limited???
The real P card issue is I never know for sure if it will work... account payable has taken as long as 45 days to pay and by that time I could be up against the limit from the past month...
If you do not have an established vendor relationship good luck getting paid... one poor guy for over 5 months... he did us a favor and under the old company I could walk his invoice to accounts payable, sign it and the check would go out Friday...
The bad thing now is invoices can only be submitted one way... no exceptions... one mistake and it will say in process forever but nothing happens... no feedback.
One of my Biotech Vendors has the system down pat... every night he logs in at home, scans, codes converts to PDF... only one document per invoice so may cut and paste... he gets his money consistently in 3 weeks give or take...
What I have found is Corp would rather pay more to an existing vendor than add one... they say setting it up has a cost verifying Tax ID, Business License, Vendor Mate etc...
The reason I continue to pay those that I ask to work or sell to us is because when I ask... they will move mountains to help... it is all about relationships and having Home Phone Numbers or getting someone to pick up after hours.
Next week the main back-flow will need to be re-certified... the local approved gal gets in and out and charges me $40 if paid in Cash or Check at the time of service... the Corp approved vendor charges $160 minimum and corp is fine with that.
A lot more things are coming in Amazon so this is giving Costco competition...
The tubs of daily US mail has dwindled to maybe 30 pieces or less... from hundreds before.
The UPS, Fedex and private package delivery has expanded exponentially... I have 3 Fedex Deliveries before 8 am on a typical day...
