Could a tiller direction be reversed?

/ Could a tiller direction be reversed? #11
I just spent some time looking at the Landpride tiller parts diagrams both reverse and normal. For the life of me I cannot see how they reverse direction. . I am attaching both gear boxes The RTR is the reverse drive.
I will look at my tiller tomorrow and see if there is anything obvious.
I don't think it is in the final chain drive on the end.

Landpride tillers all drive from the left side. RTA models are forward rotation, RTR models are reverse rotation. The parts breakdowns are available online. Peruse here:

the output gear is driven on the front on one and on the back of the gear on the other.

If you take a right angle gearbox, and drive it to the left while sitting on the tractor, the tiller will till in the fwd direction, Flip the gearbox over, and the direction turns the opposite direction. So with a clockwise direction input shaft, the shaft to the left will cause the tined to till fwd. If the shaft drives to the right while sitting on the tractor, the shaft is still turning counter clock wise, and will drive the tiller shaft in reverse. Does that make sense?

Look at their videos.

Look at their videos.

Look at the RTR10, Page 40, shows the bull gear on the backside of the gear box, and this will allow them to have the shaft go to the left and still be reverse tilling.

Exactly what I have been trying to explain from the beginning. It's all in the setup of the right angle drive. There is no third shaft or gear.

How about this one?

I think I got it. On the drawing of the RTA gear box which shows the input drive shaft as 2 pieces the bevel gear is drawn reversed. It should point the other way and drive from the back side as stated by luscsmith a couple of posts back. The gear #12 would be assembled from the back side and then nut and cotter pin.
