But honestly the packaging says nothing about the purpose of the knife though it does say tactical knife.

I wouldn't buy it for that reason alone LOL

Spyderco folding, with pocket clip is what I've carried for at least 15 years. It's my work knife.

I've always carried a stockman style knife from the age of 10. Forgetting to put it in my pocket is the equivalent of forgetting my wallet. In fact, I'm so obsessed with having to carry a pocket knife, that when I travel, I'll pay the $25 fee to check a bag with my knife. I went to Disney back in June and forgot I had my knife when I went through security. They ended up letting me put it in my pocket and let me in the park. Fortunately, a stockman style knife looks non-menacing and utilitarian. I probably would have had an issue if I was carrying my Benchmade mini-barrage with the opening assist, even though the blade is only 2.9" long.

I have two Spyderco's, a "outdoor" larger utility type and a more "dressy" one for dress pants or my Benchmade Axis lock when I want to carry a higher quality knife to "show off".:) I feel absolutely "nekid" if I don't have a knife clipped in my pocket.

I would like to buy this knife.. seems exactly what I need and yet as I read about it, it looks like a self defense knife which I guess is supposed to be a no no.

Anyone know the Ohio laws... maybe an attourney who can interpret the mumbo jumbo on the site below.

Ohio Knife Laws | KnifeUp

It's strange how everyone one of these assholes swears an oath to uphold the constitution but somehow they don't see the 2nd amendment as part of the constitution. The 2nd is about arms including all knives, all guns and even an M1 tank if you can afford to buy and run it. The weapon used is never the problem, it's the person using it. What happens when they start using hammers, do we have hammer regulation and control? There is no end to this kind of insanity. Treat the cause, not the symptom.

I think this may make a better defensive choice if you cannot carry a firearm.
