Hi...

Fuel containers...

I used a couple of these 5-gallon jugs from Summit Racing
for several years... very sturdy... hold up well... just got a new one too... Search term = fuel jug

Round...

Square...

Jug ~$15... but need the ~$12 cap with filler hose too...

Similar/same type fuel jugs are available where dirt bike (off-road motorcycle) equipment is sold too... but likely more expensive...

There was not child proof vent on mine. I have a vent on the back side of mine unless they have changed them some since I bought mine??

Well actually my money right now is going to a Harley. I quit drinking back in 79. However, now that my wife has found out about my stache I got the lecture, you got this you got that and what do I have /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. I told her she had me /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif but that didn't work so well. So now my Harley stache is gone. But then if I would get rid of some of my other toys maybe I would find time for the Harley if I got one.

Twenty five some years ago I lived on Motorcycles. I had a Norton 750 and a Norton 850. Loved them bikes but I don't think the craving to ride has ever left me. Two years ago I rented a Harley for a weekend and I was in 7th Heaven. Used to buy lots of mail order stuff from Summit Racing for my pickup and SUV but never thought of them as a source for fuel containers. Looks like well made stuff thanks for the tip.

I have it on good authority that the fuel can was designed and built for NASA so that our guys could space walk and refill the spaceship on the forthcoming Mars exploration program. Like most other NASA developments the price will drop drastically over the next 20 years as the technology becomes more available in the civilian marketplace. Presently they have a team of technicians working on how to weld the can retaining system on the outside of the ship in order to carry the 4 million cans it is estimated that will be required to reach Mars. Listen to GW's speech next week and all will become clear.

well thats an easy question folks thats the price they charge the goverment when uncle sam needs a few hundred of them they order them at that price because it is most likely one of our politicans company .................just another waste of the tax payers money ...........lol just kidding
