Could you deal with gas at 6.00 a gallon?

I stopped reading those liberal, leftwing, pinko rags a long time ago. The reporters are just folks with little experience, lot's of agendism who write like they know what they are talking about. I no more listen to the trash from some fools mouth as I do what some punk reporter writes in some lefty newspaper (insert tv, radio, etc).

Now, I do come to TBN. The folks here know what they write about based upon years of expereince and a desire to help, not hurt other folk. Journalist today believe in F.U.D (fear, uncertainty and despair). They love to make us feel bad about everything.

Ever wondered why the circulation numbers are dropping every year? Folks have lost interest in the junk they publish. Same with ABC, CBS, NBC news. it is junk.

Do I have a choice? I spent time in Central America. Those folks have been spending 6 buck a gallon for years and they just deal with it. I went on some road trips in a huge diesel guzzling SUV all over Nicaragua. No one cared or mentioned the cost of a liter of diesel. We in the USA seem obsessed with fuel prices. My attitude never wins me any friends, but I say to everyone walk, car pool or ride your bike. Now, for the folks whose livelihoods depend on fuel, charge more, it is one of the many costs of doing business. Do I like it? No, but as they say in the Army, suck it up and drive on. It isn't like you are dying from cancer.

$6.00 a gallon. I just read of some kind of mini windmill that produces electric for home use. We have a local plant that produces solar power panels. They are setting up systems in some big name office buildings and plants. This cuts down on heat and light bills. We have been discussing a lot on biofuel here. There are hundreds of other things going on. This is the first time I have heard so much backlash against oil. The higher the price the more inventive the American people will be. As always, I believe too many want to count the U.S. out. We will adjust and in the future big oil might get bit back because of their greed.

Johnboy, what motorcycle do you have? Is that top miliage or general miliage? I had a Suzuki 450 years ago that got an honest 60mpg in normal use, but for 15 yrs now a '82 yamaha 750 for which 40 is good.

Me too.
I have had Honda, Kawi, BMW, and even driving conservatively, 44 is tops, 38-40 is average.
Some HD guys claim up to 50.
