Couldn\'t help myself

In the midst of using my "play money" I was saving up for a new tractor to buy a house I decided to buy another 430 when I found this one with a 3 point hitch, Rear PTO, 48" finish mower and Front weight bracket for $2500. Those extra toys alone are worth $1200 - $1500.

It has 4200 hours on it but the engine and transmission were just overhauled by John Deere just before it was traded in.

Darn, now I'm going to have to find a 60" finish mower because that 48" just won't cut it for me and I'll need a 48" roto tiller too for Mama's garden of course./forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh yes and Bar tires, front weights, 44 loader, ballast box, rear wheel weights....hmmmmmmm Mama says I don't need help with any suggestions from you ladies and gentlemen because I can spend money fast enough all by myself /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I tried a 316 model but after owning one of these it just isn't the same and I couldn't step down. Mabey when things settle down after we buy this house I can get my 2320 or 2520

Are you serious about the 4,200 hours. That seems like a lot for a garden tractor, even a Deere.

Deer parts,

I seen your profile and it says you sell John Deere parts on line. Do you have a web page,do you sell used parts etc.. ??

I was just curious what all you had or could get. I am always looking for a good source. PM me or reply here however you want.

Thanks

Re: Couldn\'t help myself

I sell used John Deere garden tractor parts on eBay. I don't keep much and most tractors that I part out are completely gone within a week sometimes 2 weeks if I'm feeling lazy or tired like I am today.

This one I'm planning to keep for the summer but I know I can make about $4000 - $5000 just off the tractor not including the PTO, 3 point etc.

Re: Couldn\'t help myself

Yep 4200 hrs.

That is alot of hours but the engine and transmission were recently overhauled by the John Deere dealer and it runs great and remember that it's a Yanmar diesel not an Onan engine and it's not uncommon for them to easily go 4000-5000 hrs when maintained. They used this same engine in the 455, 755 and I'm sure more.

Oh I'm sur I'm going to find small stuff here and there that time and vibration has taken its toll on but I have enough stuff here to fix just about anything for minimal cost.

I look the price I paid by the extras that came with it, when I remove the rear PTO, 3 point hitch, weight bracket and finish mower, the tractor cost is only about $1000 and I can part it when I am through for $4000 to $5000 and put these extra parts on another or sell the extras for another $1500 when finances get a little better and it's time for me to get my new tractor.
