I agree, but there is no way around it. I don't want to jeopardize any warranty issues. This is the first 50 hour service.
The law I assume you are referring to is the Magnuson-Moss warranty act.No different I guess than Kubota Rapes there customers on super UDT fluid at $55 per gal.IMHO it is a conspiracyI think there's some law that says you don't have to use a manufacturer's parts to maintain warranties, but to me the real issue is that Kioti is raping customers with that price. Do they do that on all their parts? Maybe this is how they recover some extra profit after selling tractors at a lower price point. I don't think I have paid more than $50 for an OEM hydraulic filter before, even on a pricy brand like Deere.

The hydraulic filter for my gear model DK 35 is around $35.
The HST filter is on the pressure side of the pump therefore built heavier. Most filters are on the return side.
Or the suction side.
