Franz, if you only consider the source of your food, I wonder about the first guy to try eggs. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Ahhhhh, head cheese.....the particle board of meats!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My late grandma, who was of German background, used to love to eat bone marrow sandwiches. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I don't know how or out of what exactly she got it but she loved it.

Bird, at the age of 5 I was the assistant egg collector in a chickenhouse containing 500 of those rottin birds. My other job was barrel stirrer and dipper so the liquid manure could be ladled onto the strawberry plants.
I'm absolutely certain I've candled more **** eggs than the average person has eaten.
As a child, I was forced to eat 40 cubic feet of frozen dead chicken cadavers because the Old Man slaughtered the herd. I've helped dip the dead carcases in boiling water, pulled feathers, and smelled the stench of singed pin feathers.
As a young man, I installed machines in a commercial egg processing and packaging plant.
Were I to say I hate, lothe despise and abhore those rottin creatures, the statement would fall short of my true feelings.
You know that little white spot in a chicken dropping that looks like a pearl, that's chickenshut too.
Yup, I know about eggs, the only thing that comes out of 2 Aholes before it's shut. I also know about chickens pecking at and eating shut.
Filthy disgusting creatures chickens.
Do I need to tell you I don't eat them, or eggs either? I don't!

Aah, yes, Franz. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I can well remember the days when we sometimes had to slaughter 50 chickens in a day and get them ready to go in the freezer. I do still eat lots of chicken, but I'm not sure I would if I had to do the kilin', scaldin', pluckin', singein'and guttin' anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Just never did like that aroma.

Well, here's a newsflash. I won't DO it. Hah! I don't have a bit of trouble with skinless chicken, in fact I like it better so when I have to harvest a chicken I pull off a few breast feathers, find a place to slip a knife inder the skin and then I just peel em. Faster, cleaner, easier, less stinkier. I lose the wings, but I can live with that.

I agree, Cindi, but my Dad would never have allowed that. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I don't balme him a bit, it's the wrong way. You lose meat and the skin. I have tried to learn to do it the right way, but never having seen it done I can't get it. I just had to find my comfort zone and go for it.
