County Line(TSC) Landscape rake

I bought the 6' TSC/Tartar a couple of weeks ago...it looks like it is an older model, with steel plates welded as braces rather than tubes on the top. It had some rust so got an extra discount on top of the 10% coupon.

I've been happy so far - used it for spreading new gravel, digging and smoothing humps in the gravel driveway, digging up and gathering golf ball to baseball size rocks in a food plot and then spread them to fill in a muddy area in my woods path, where it pulled up a good size root with no problem.

I appreciate all the feedback. At $450 with a coupon for the 6 ft, I think I will give it a try. I have a welder,torch and press if needed. I will keep it within its limits.

If a TSC is near a competitor, like Rural King, they will have better prices. Then you can take that price to your local store and they will match it or beat it.

If you have an Agri Supply in your area take a look at their cheap rakes. I bought a 5 foot for 300. Have tun it over some pretty course stuff. I had to modify it like everything else to get my quick hitch to work on it. Bend a tine now and then but they are easy to bend back. I am thinking about removing every other tine to reduce the amount of dirt it pulls.

I should of took the advice of those who know. I used my County line landscape rake today the first time. 3 passes in and it tweaked. The metal fatigued and cracked right at the pivot point. I was moving very slow and gentle in med gear so not to apply too much force. I just returned it to TSC and the manager said she has never seen that and offered to get another. I asked what if it happens again and she said she would take it back again. That is great customer service but I do not want to take the chance again. Either they are junk or the steel was defective. Either way I am looking for a good used one or maybe an ETA new one.

I made the choice.I just ordered from Travis at ETA an 84" extreme duty landscape rake. Buy right, buy once.

Looks like an almost perfect color match! The landscape rake isn't too shabby either. :thumbsup:

Been there done that. My 1st landscape rake was a used one. No brand or name on the rake it twisted like a pretzel. Here is a photo before I used the landscape rake. Wish I had taken a photo after I used it. I sold it at my yard sale for $50.

I agree it's a nice color match.

Travis, When I order the rake the sales rep did not think there would be a problem reversing the directions of the rake, he was right I have about a 2'' clearance.
