Yeah about the brush guard...the dealer neglected to tell me that it has two pieces to it...I am ordering the "screen", as it does look unfinished. It looks like alot of controls, but really, they just put everything on the right hand side, may be bad for leftys, but it works for me. I really like the new throttle control, I always disliked the throttle up by the ingition. The EHC pto knob is nice and smooth on engagment, I thought It would "thump" the brushhog, but it feathers in quite well. I really don't see why this wouldn't be the last tractor I would have to buy, I like everything about it.

that is a VERY good price for the loader! now, had it been a 563 loader that would have been the deal of the century! what do you like/dislike about the new 5065M compared to your old 5225 you had? can you tell the difference in power between the two? what made you decide to get MFWD this time(wasn't your 5225 2wd?)

As far as power, yeah, you can tell you got more. As far as likes/dislikes...definatly 4WD is a plus, whenevery I was blading my driveway (uphill) the 5225 would start to dig in when the box was full, and I had to pull the boxblade up to prevent ruts and/or more holes to fill in. The 3 point in alot smoother to operate and seems more accurate, kinda wish the lever was a bit taller, but I can live with it. EHC pto is smooth, and easy to turn on and off..much better that a lever. Throttle position is awesome and very smooth as well. There are more "compartments" in the cab for various things like cell phone, beverage holder, and other things. The whole cab itself feels like it is more isloated from the frame and make bumps smoother than on the 5225. Of course, the PowerReverser is very handy...I always hated a 3point turn and having to do alot of hand work on the levers. There are ALOT of blank switch holes for adding other accessories...the 2speed pto for Econo mode is nice, the only thing about it that feels "cheap" is the lever. And not that I would ever need it much, but the diff lock in now between the pedals, right under the dash, which would be easier to engage than the ol' "right under your foot", plus, its out of your way in the cab, you don't hit it with your foot. Push button 4WD is about as handy as it gets, no T handle to pull up or push down on. The design on the cab from the back has a new window angled at 45 degrees, so you can see straight down the back of the tractor and not have to open the back window to see whats going on. Someone mentioned on here that the SMV sign was in the way, I did not find this to be the case. Its far over to the left and out of the way, and no blind spots. SOooo.....I am happy so far..if I have any gripes, I will post them:D

Its because I got a 5085M open station... Its like in my way 24/7 . I do alot of reversing. I'll post a picture where it is look for the red circle. Ignore my small trailer... I also like the handy spot they give you for the smv sign for people like me who are irritated of it. I usually haul these in the 2nd picture. Sorry for kind of high jacking your thread.. Are you going to race me yet with your 5065M yet? :D

Great lookin' tractor! Congratulations!

I'm "green" myself... just waitin' and waitin' for my M to show up! :(

That is a good price on the 553 loader! Especially with the HD bucket! Very good lift capacity and you might be surprised how many different things you could find to do with it once it's mounted!

I use my loader quite a bit; so, I opted for the 563 self-leveling.

Appreciate the pics!

Edward - don't those mudders change your gear ratios? Those are some treads, there!! :D

Probably have a pretty good "top-end" speed - but, maybe a bit slower comin' outta the hole!!

Better line up for at least a mile long race - you might come out on the short end of things if you're racin' a quarter mile... :dance1:
