couple of quick mods to make it mine

Now that the 50 hour break-in period has passed, I decided it was time to make my tractor, Taj, "mine". First, I relocated the OEM tool box and mounted it on the right fender opening to the rear. I keep extra pins, clips, small WD40 can and a rag in this one. I also keep my phone in here while out and about. I put an ammunition can in place were the tool box was and that holds tools and my mini grease gun. My second mod was to add additional lighting for the rear of the unit, I'm going to add an LED light-bar for forward light when mama says I can. I know my next mod will ruffle feathers, but, it's mine, I fabricated a remote 3pt hitch hydraulic actuator so I don't have to try and squeeze my arm between the ROPs cage and seat. My final upgrade so far has been to wrap my FEL and backhoe hyd lines with old fire hose. So far this tractor has exceeded my expectations as has the service after the sale. I couldn't be happier.

Thats a nice looking tractor, congrats. I like your idea about the 3pt actuator. It's dangerous and a total PIA reaching thru and trying to get access to the factory levers from behind the tractor. Thanks for sharing. Now go get that thing dirty!

I also like the actuator mod. Doesn't look any more dangerous than the fancy tractors that have an electronic actuator on the rear of the tractor.

I'm a mod guy too. Not a tractor made that wouldn't require a mod if I owned it.

Looks good. I would take a grinder and cut off the excess length on those bolts holding the lights on the rops. It would hurt if you managed to hit your head on those.

Nice mods. If you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, and please take this advice it that way, on your fire hose wraps, if you will spray paint the firehose black it will blend in better, and not show the tye-wraps either. Also on tye-wraps, if you will rotate the tye-wrap so that the cut off end is not shown, they not only look better, your hands are safer from cuts and abrasion caused by coming in contact with the cut off ends of the tye-wraps. I always try to rotate then ends out of the way, as I have had some nasty cuts over the years from tye-wraps.

Again please take this in the spirit it was intended.

I appreciate all the feedback so far, I am getting her dirty, that's the best part washing it, to get it dirty again. regarding the U bolts, I'm going to be fabricating a metal cover, i'll trim those down after, but being bald, those things hurt. I like the idea of painting the hose, going to have to buy some masking tape. I didn't void the warranty at all, only one hole was drilled in this install and that was through the knob on the hyd actuator. for the lights, I used the power for the rear factory spot light to power the relay which I mounted in the rear brake light housing.
