Growing up on a ranch, I have shot hundreds of coyotes. I use to build hay bail forts on a bluff overlooking a creek and used a dead rabbit call to bring them in. Something changed in me though, I can't shoot them anymore. I let them go and have been for about 8 years now. There are now a couple of packs roaming by the house and lake that will need attention. If they start going for my dog, then I will take action. The funny thing is, I have grown an appreciation for them. They seem to keep a balance in nature. When I was shooting them all the time, it seemed like their was a lot less other animals around. Now with them around, there seems to be more wildlife. Odd.
