cracked front axle ym2000

I cracked my front axle and have found a new one but I can't get the wheel spindles off. Has anyone done this before? I'm not sure how I broke it but it must have been awhile ago because of the rusk in the crack. My land was pretty rough when I first got it and have done alot of grading since then.

You should remove nut #38, then remove steering arms #20 and #21. Then your spindle should knock out with the bottom bearing on it. At least that is what I see from the parts drawing. Yanmar Tractor Parts: FRONT_AXLE_2WD

I have had mine off a couple of times. If the woodruff key (33) gets out of alignment at all in the slots, it can make it very hard to get off. Good luck.
