The slab is smooth over the cracks. As long as it stays that way I will be ok with it.

When the contractor comes to pour the 2 slabs,tell him you would like Super plasticizer in it rather than extra water added.If the batch plant will deliver you a 3" slump,then they can add the super `P' at your site and it will place quickly with no shrinkage problems.A half dose of fiber is good too.
NOTE!! Don't add Super `P' to sloped concrete jobs,like more than 2" drop in 12 ft. or it may need rescreeding because of slumping.Depends upon the skill of the crew whether they allow it to slump or not. don-ohio

I had forgotten about Super P, but we used it quite a bit when I was running a redi-mix truck. It's actually possible to add enough to keep concrete from setting up over night....has to be done carefully, of course.
