I was thinking operating at 60mph after 180 hours @ 1mph would blow a whole lot of carbon out

My rules for using CL.. I always contact them using whatever they specify, text, email. If the next request from them isn't a phone call or if they refuse to do a phone call.. it is a scam and I'm done.
Scammer's won't usually talk on the phone.
Take someone with you to sit in the car or just another person is wise. Meet in a busy place if it is a small item. Always let someone know the address you are going to.

Funny.. to add to this.. I had texted someone about a tractor earlier because they asked to be texted (usually a red flag, not always). I said would you please call me I have questions about your tractor. The tractor was cheap but the text in the add was very believable and not the normal obvious scam with an email address with some ladies name in it.
They replied back a few hours later and said sure please put your email address in the text and I will send you pictures and info. I said which tractor is this I don't even remember.. even though I'm pretty sure I do remember.
No reply! Apparently they don't remember either :laughing:

Not sure if its the same in your area but I recently saw on a local police department web page that they are more than happy to let people meet in the parking lot of the police station to do the transaction. Now I am sure they don't want to actually come out and witness the transaction. However the fact doing it in the parking lot of the police station can help keep the sale safe and honest.

I had my skidsteer listed on Craigslist and it was also sitting in my front yard for sale. A man called me one day and ask was I home, I said I will be in 10 minutes he said I am looking at the skidsteer, I get home and he wants to here it run, I get key and crank it and he hee haws around for about 20 minutes and tells me all he wants to do with it then & I quote "I don't have any money, I am going to see if I can get my neighbor to buy it that way I can borrow it from him". I was more than a little perturbed, I never heard from him or his neighbor.
