If I'm not mistaken I seem to remember some threads about problems with injector pumps on some of the CK models. I believe that some of the internal gears are plastic and they wear. Check old threads for Kioti injector problems.

TRADZ5. I am going with some others and tell you your injection pump needs to be replaced. I have replaced 3 or 4 for customers that had the same issues. If you are mechanically inclined, it is a simple remove and replace for you. Just get the gaskets and put it back together. Prime the system and it should start. You do not say where you are from. Look up your KIOTI Dealer and see if they can help you. If not give us a call.

If you wan't to verify remove the lines at the pump or injectors and see if fuel is pumping out. If NONE - replace pump.

If you hear the "click" when you turn the key to the on position, then you have the "power-on" style system.

Got to agree with the others then, fuel injector pump rack. We have replaced a few, but mostly on the shuttle shift models with a foot throttle. The foot throttle wears the rack more quickly.

You can check the rack by removing the side plate from the governor case under the fuel injector pump. It's a little hard to see, but if you remove the cover and look directly under the pump, you can see the pin from the injector rack. Try to move the pin. If it's stuck, the rack has failed. Replace the injector pump.

I fall into this category. Had my pump replaced at about 300 hours on my gear tractor. Is the replacement pump an improved design or just the same pump? Does anyone know?

Also, this is the first I've heard that it's worse on gear trannies due to foot throttle. I use my foot throttle a lot. I guess I'll have to stop that practice so much and be more tolerant of the unecessary noise and fuel consumption.

I now use Power Service to add lubrication for the pump. I just hope it's not going to fail again at around 600 hours or so.

The newer pumps do have different material for the fuel rack gears. It was changed about 3 years ago.

There isn't anything wrong with using the foot throttle. The few pump rack problems we have seen were on shuttle tractors. The hydros are usually run at constant rpm. The shuttles are generally used with varying rpm.

Used the "Air" bleed switch at the filter...nothing. cracked open line at every point in the fuel system. Get fuel going into the banjo fitting on top of the injector pump. Crack the injector (steel) lines coming out of the pump going to the injectors and I get nothing even when cranking. Last point of noticeable fuel is at the banjo fitting going into the pump.

With fuel up to but not coming out of the pump and the solenoid operating from your tests, I'd say the pump is a gonner. As mentioned, members have had the pumps go because of those plastic gears. If I remember right, some have gone as early as 300 hours.

Thank you everyone for the help. I definitely now have this short cut on my desktop :thumbsup: Looks like its pretty much a no brainer at this point.... Injector pump GONE!!! Anyone got a rough estimate what this is gonna cost me pump = ?? installation at a dealer = ?? Looking for a ball park #. I do have a local dealer that will fix it but the dealer is a Massey Ferg. dealer but has access to the parts. They hire me to do there electrical work at there building so I'm a firm believer in "one hand washes the other" so I will probably send my tractor there for repair but want to know what this should run me. Again thank you everyone for the help

I'd push on Kioti first. They might make it right at little cost to you. At least that's what they should do because they know those things have defectively brittle parts.

I would be very P&ssed off if the injector pump was bad on such a new machine. I've replaced roosamaster pumps that were 20 years old before they failed.

Having an old 2005 is no guarantee that you'll get a manual fuel shut off knob. I sure don't on my 2005.

Best of luck on the swap. I try and minimize throttle position changes and so far after 900 hours, my OEM pump is fine. Always using off-road (LSD) fuel and PS.
