I have a mid 80's B-6200 hst, power steering and loader.
while I was checking my oil, I noticed the oil was farther up on the dipstick than it should be. I had recently added hydro fluid because I noticed I was having to push farther down on the hydro pedal to move faster. I drained the engine oil to the correct level. I ran the tractor for a couple of weeks than checked again and the level had risen again.

I looked at my parts manual and saw a oil seal around the hydraulic pump shaft.

Is that the only place where it is possible to mix hydraulic fluid and engine oil? Especially at that rate? I guess it could be from the powersteering somehow but I haven't looked into that yet.

I will fix this myself so taking it to the stealership is not an option. If I can rebuild the engine I can fix this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

As strokerduster says, you've got it figured out. The power steering pump could also be a souce. But, the main culprit is likely the hydraulic pump with its greater volume.
