Hey Jim,
That is one nice looking machine, a lot nicer finished than my 2005 Kama 554. The body work looks great. In one of the photos that Larry posted for you, on the left side there were two filters next to each other. What are they, dual fuel filters maybe? Looks like a lot of improvements as to the engine and filters too. Also, do you have any shots of the interior cab, like where the gear shift and hydraulic levers are located? What about the dash?
I see you were unable to use my post about posting pictures. Did you try doing it again? Love your shop too man, it's great.
Hi Rob,
Thanks for the comments. I really like the tractor so far and am still getting rid of them "gremlins and gotchas" . I have the FEL parts uncrated and laid out ready to put on the tractor once I have their locations figured out. I know one thing, the FEL is going to be a big'un too. Can barely wait to be able to use it properly for a few days!!!!
You are not going to believe this, but I spent all of Sunday working on the computer. It crashed on me - I couldn't get it to start so had to reformat the hard drive and reload all the programs. So I haven't really tried to resize the pictures just yet. Just lately I seem to have had a few problems with the computer - viruses I think, somehow managing to get to work in the backround. A real pain in the butt. It also happened just two months ago, so this time I was a bit faster getting up to speed - you know, practice makes perfect

Anyway, I lost quite a few foto's but most of them I had put on CD's so they are saved plus the ones still in my camera.
Thanks on the shop. That is one of the reasons I bought this place. The property is 40 miles south of town (Prince George) and is mostly treed. Don't have the views that you and Larry and some of the others have, but it is pretty private and the nearest neighbour is 1/4 mile away. My driveway is 300 yds that has to be cleared of snow in the winter. Anyway, quite a bit of wildlife around as the trees are basically left to regrow. The shop is 80' x 40' , insulated and heated with wood furnace - using an old oil furnace with fan to assist in the air circlation. Keeps the shop comfortable down to about minus 30C, any colder than that the temperature barely goes above freezing inside and the stove goes through wood like you would not believe. I also have a 12KW back generator for the house in another outside building. The heating system for the house is geothermal heat pump - which is kind of neat too. But like any older place there is a lot of work to do around here, so I am kept busy (did I say I was retired?).
Got to go to town tomorrow to do my weekly shop and buy the new ignition switch (I hope that is my main problem). I won't do any more on the tractor until Wednesday or Thursday now. Yes, that is two fuel filters on the machine. I don't know what the other tractors (Jinma and Kama) look like as I literally bought sight unseen. I used the three or four Chinese tractor websites for research. I will try and take a few shots of the drivers station sometime this week. The layout is pretty good except getting into reverse. On my old MF-65, I shovelsnow easily and have to just move the shift from forward to reverse and stay in one gear. Just how it has turned out. On the Jinma I have to gross the gate and the go up, with the gears still tight it is a bit awkward. I'll get used to it and won't even notice once I get some hours on the machine.
Thanks guys on your help, very much appreciated.
Later,
Jim
